We are approximately 50-minutes flying time from Johannesburg's OR International Tambo Airport. Scheduled or private charter flights land at Hoedspruit's Eastgate airport or the Hoedspruit civil airfield, where either a helicopter or vehicle will be waiting to transfer you to the lodge.
Alternatively, enjoy the 6-hour scenic drive from Johannesburg to Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, with a further 20 minute drive to the lodge within the reserve.

From Johannesburg
From Johannesburg follow the N1 towards Polokwane
Exit onto R71 towards Tzaneen
Continue on R71 through Magoebaskloof, at Tzaneen keep on R71
Follow R71, past Letsitele and Gravelotte (take note the R71 becomes R526)
At the T-junction turn right onto the R40 (signs indicating Mica, Hoedspruit)
Pass through the town of Hoedspruit and take the R40 road towards Eastgate Airport
Approximately 8km’s after leaving Hoedspruit, turn left towards Eastgate Airport, you will pass through the Guernsey control gate
Travel for about 27km’s passing the airport, cross the Klaserie River Bridge, ahead you will see the Enkhuhlu Timbavati/ Klaserie Private Nature Reserve Control Gate
At the gate, inform the security personnel that you are travelling to Kateka and settle the gate fee, payable in cash or card
Travel approximately 21km’s straight on the tar road, speed limit is 50km p/h.
The sign to Kateka is on the right of the road, you will turn left, travel 1.1km down the sand road and you will arrive at the Kateka entrance
